RE: Certification/Verification of Members
The American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine (ABPOPPM) has been certifying podiatrists since 1978. In that year, we began certifying podiatrists in the specialty area of Podiatric Orthopedics. In 1993, we began certifying in the second specialty area of Primary Podiatric Medicine. In 1998 we amalgamated the two specialty areas and conducted a single examination in 1999. We certify podiatrists from across the nation through written and oral examinations that are administered annually. In addition, we conduct primary verification of graduation and residency information on each member, including the names and locations of the institutions and dates of graduation or completion, in compliance with NCQA standards. State licensing and disciplinary actions are tracked and verified annually.
The following methods of verifications are available:
Online or Written/Faxed Verifications:
A $350 Annual Web site access fee, or a $35.00 charge per verification, or volume discounts as follows: 6 to 10 verifications at $ 30.00 per verification and over 10 verifications at $27.00 per verification. Forms of acceptable payment include company checks, Master Card, Visa and American Express. No written requests will be honored without appropriate payment.
